Geofront is a "wrapper" for the professional activities of Gernot Ziegler. The company's main purpose is to make Gernot's consulting services available to interested customers, without the need for consulting an inbetween company that mediates those services.

As Gernot's knowledge and contact network improves, Geofront will immediately profit of these additions. It is the company's aim to "professionalize" as much of the owners knowledge and contact network as possible, and thus to benefit both the customers and Geofront's business associates.

Geofront is a one-man, scalable company - the Swedish tax system allows it to "sleep" for a while, thus consuming no resources of its owner other than running this website. If so required, it unfolds to provide all the services that are offered here.

Geofront's software consulting part is very strongly committed to the OpenSource and Linux ideas and principles.
Customers shall not have to pay to receive a ready-made product that already exists in thousands of identical copies all over the world, but instead they will receive a taylor-made solution for their needs, based on OpenSource tools and libraries that are adopted and modified to fit their special needs. Usually the developed code will be generalized afterwards and recommitted to the OpenSource community to "give back" for the available libraries and tools that were used initially.

Translation consulting is Geofront's other standing leg. The unique blend of computer knowledge and language expertise makes it the perfect choice for companies that want to enter or be seen on the German market (including Germany, Austria and Switzerland). Technical terms are no problem, and webpages can be written in an instant, without the need to hire an extra person that converts Word documents to working homepages.

Geofront is seeing itself as a worldwide company, even though it is small. Borders shall not be any limitation for business contacts, and Geofront is happy to answer inquiries from and provide services to all over the world.
